NICE TO MEET YOU!

      HI, I'M ALISON!

Most days you’ll fine me in my rural home office, with an iced coffee and surrounded by houseplants. I’m a mom of two wonderful boys, who keep me constantly on my toes. My husband, Adam, and I met over a decade ago, and we live on the farm I grew up on, outside of Goderich Ontario.

I fell in love with photography as a teenager while travelling with my parents in New Zealand. That love started as a hobby, but quickly grew into something more after I finished my studies at the University of Guelph. In 2012, I completed the summer intensive photography program at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography, in Missoula Montana. From there, I began second shooting weddings with other local photographers, before stepping out on my own in 2014. Since then, I have photographed more than 100 weddings.

I’m mostly known for my love of animals and my relaxed style & approach to photography. I love serving the world by creating storytelling imagery that helps clients relive their unique wedding day & love story.

My photography style? It’s natural, romantic & fresh. The quiet moments on a wedding day are my favourite. In the blur that often comes with a wedding day, these moments are so important. It’s a time to reflect on the fact that you’re finally married and I love seeing couples have a moment to relax and really bask in that joy! When I’m not busy working on editing your stories, you can catch me cuddling with my husband, Adam, our sons, Finley and Gus and our fur baby, Disney, while watching Encanto for the 87th time (kids right?!) I also enjoy travelling, browsing the aisles in Homesense and curling up with a blanket and a good book.

If you want to hear more, here are six things you may not know about me:

      1. My love of houseplants has grown to over 80 individual potted plants. Weekly, it take’s me over an hour to water and fertilize them all during the growing season.
      2. Before it’s closure, I volunteered weekly at the Ontario SPCA Huron County Animal Centre, taking photos of the cats to showcase their personalities and help them to find their furever homes
      3. I am a self-proclaimed professional pizza maker & eater
      4. I love having a classic card game or board game evening with family
      5. I have lived in New Zealand, Australia & Montana for three months each
      6. I have a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture
