In October 2022, I met up with Colleen and Patrick for their engagement session at the Wawanosh Valley Conservation Area.
This session felt extra special for me. Colleen and I actually went to high school together—we were locker buddies—so getting to reconnect and photograph this chapter of her life meant a lot.
With winding trails, open fields, and the Maitland River nearby, Wawanosh Valley gave us the perfect fall backdrop. Mid-October brought golden leaves, soft earthy tones, and that crisp autumn air I love so much.
Colleen and Patrick made everything easy. They laughed often, stayed present, and fully leaned into the experience together.
We explored the trails, wandered along the river, and finished the evening in the tall grasses as the light began to soften. Some of my favourite images came from those quiet in-between moments.
I’m so excited for everything ahead for these two.
